leaves, and snow, today
floating
through the air
spiced with goodness
tasting of fall,
bowls of beer chili
loaded with cheese
tongue cooled
by tangy sour cream,
wings, celery and blue cheese.
modern day gladiators
playing the best game ever
crosses-over with the best of baseball.
It’s a great year for my team –
Mets playing Cubs
going deeper into post season –
the seasons won’t stop
until one team takes a super prize.
I have on sweats and socks
as I smell
and smile…
